The application of component commonality can better meet the needs of customers, improve the rapid reaction capability, implement inventory cost optimization, and has been a main technique for mass customization production. The service level, how much customers needs the enterprise achieved to meet, has an important impact on corporate efficiency, and even plays an important role on the long-term development of enterprises. Therefore, studying the component commonality strategy and component commonality inventory model based on the service level constraints has great significance to reducing corporate costs and improving production efficiency. On the basis of early scholars'research results, this paper established the component commonality inventory models with service level constrain. Simple component commonality inventory models with service level constrain include aggregate service level models and product-specific service level models. Use the probability to formulate the specific service level, and obtain the expressions through the products demand. With all constrains, we set up the inventory models both with component commonality and without that. The more complicated models are that with PSL constrains, including two kinds of models based on whether of not the products are prioritized. In the prioritized scenario, we solved the demand distribution of component commonality by convolution formula, obtain the expressions of service level of low-prioritized product, and use K-T conditions to get the result. In the nonprioritized scenario, we decided the allocation of component commonality by a randomized decision variableq , solved the demand distribution of component commonality by convolution formula, obtained the expressions of service level of both two products, and form the program. Finally, we computed numbers of examples to study the economic benefits of component commonality, and make recommendations for enterprise production operation.
