Micro-finance is a financial activity that government or non-governmental organizations and financial institutions provide various financial services to poor people for the purpose of helping them. These financial services including micro-credit, deposits, remittances, micro-insurance and other financial services, and the core of them is micro-credit, which means providing unsecured loans to low-income people. The original intention of Micro-financial system is to help the poor and develop the economy, and it will use innovative financial instruments and institutions to help the poor through providing them sustainable financial services. The emergence of micro-finance filled the blank of the traditional financial institutions in the financial system, and provides services to poor people and small companies.In the development of micro-financial services, many developing countries has taken some useful attempts, and they also accumulated many experiences that deserves attention, but micro-finance is still at the initial period in China, and there still have some problems in the development. This article will analyze the development of foreign micro-financial business experiences from the two aspects of the theory and practice, and then combined them with the actual situation of our country to discuss the business model and operation mechanism in our country.This article will discuss the feasibility of micro-finance and the characteristic model in our country in six chapters. Chapter one first introduces the research purposes and research significance of this text, and reviews the research of micro-finance at present, then put forward a framework of the research and innovative points; Chapter two introduces the basic knowledge of micro-finance, which including the meanings, the characteristics and the origin of it, as well as the different stages of development and business forms; Chapter three makes an analysis on the feasibility of micro-finance at first, then set some successful examples in other countries, and confirmed the feasibility of micro-finance; From the fourth chapter enters in the reaches of China, first it points out the development of micro-finance and the existing problems in our country, and also analyzes the existing opportunities of developing micro-finance in China; Chapter five starts from the basic model of the running of the micro-finance business, and then introduces the characteristics of our business model of micro-financial services; The last chapter analyzes the potential risks and the risk control mechanism in the perspective of risk control.
