As the continuing progress of information and network technology and extensive development of B2B e-commerce, traditional supply chain structure has profoundly changed. Now, many industries have appeared in spot market based on e-trade platform, such as Eastern Steel and Iron Online, and so on. The appearance of these e-trade markets not only have promoted demand and supply coordination in some relevant industries, but also have created profound influence on relationship between supply chain cooperation organizations. The spot markets have changed cooperating relationship based only on contracts between supply chain enterprises and complicated this relationship based on coexistence of contract market and spot market, which will absolutely add complex into the supply chain management, and also bring a new subject into supply chain study.The appearance of spot markets has changed original supply chain structure, not only bringing a new supply source to purchasers, but also bringing a new marketing channel to suppliers. This thesis makes use of game theory, graph theory as well as optimal method, and discusses a supply chain with one supplier and one purchaser, establishes the analytical frame of internal competition in supply chain. This thesis deeply discuss competition behavior including channel choice and output arrangement strategies of supplier, as well as purchase strategies of buyer in many different conditions, including demand assumptions (certainty and uncertainty demands), power structure (up-stream leader and down-stream leader), risk preference (risk neutral, risk averse). Hence, the thesis has values of both research and practice.There are several creative studies in this thesis:Firstly, before this thesis, few papers have considered situation of coexistence of spot market and option contract market, and no systematical study on channel choice of supplier and purchaser under coexistence of spot market and contract market. This thesis establishes spot market modes and uses probability distribution to reflect spot market price fluctuationsSecondly, before this thesis, few papers have considered how penalty influences on supply chain members. This thesis takes violation situation into study mode, discusses the impact of unit penalty on option contract quantity of purchaser, production quantity of suppler, as well as on the profit of all supply chain members.Third, this thesis discusses competition behavior under many situations, such as different demand assumptions, power structures, risk preferences etc.
