Study On Supply Chain Collaborative Mechanism Based On Mechanism Design Theory

Supply chain collaboration (SCC) is a strategic chosen with which enterprise in supply chain can gain competitive strengths in environment of fierce competition. It changes the traditional relationship linked by price and guided by optimization of local profit to the new relationship linked by profit sharing and guided by optimization of overall profit between enterprises. However, there exist unity of opposites between collective rationality and individual rationality. The key to solve this issue is introducing of supply chain collaborative mechanism (SCCM) that ensure the accomplishment of overall profit with the precondition of local satisfaction. So combining mechanism design theory this paper analyzes the SCCM intensively.The research of mechanism design theory is how to make policy or regulation to affect the behaviors or decision of members in a setting of free choice, decision dispersion and information asymmetry so as to archive the goal of designer. The idea and method it introduces can be applied in analysis of SCCM because supply chain is such a setting.Based on mechanism design theory this paper analyzes the SCCM intensively on the basis of analysis of issues of SCC. Firstly the SCCM is mainly composed of profit distribution mechanism, information sharing mechanism, and trust mechanism. Profit distributing fairly is the precondition of successful collaboration, and information sharing is the basis of SCC, and trust mechanism is the power and guarantee of SCC. Secondly, combining relative theory this paper analyzes the three mechanisms respectively. Based on game theory depicts the principle of profit distribution mechanism, and make the conclusion of factors affect profit distribution and issues, and put forward a incentive mechanism based on team work theory as a complementary of profit distribution mechanism, and analyze principle of the risk sharing at last. In the sector of research on information sharing mechanism, this paper differentiate two kind of form of information sharing, namely information sharing in the collaborative setting of principal-agent relationship and information sharing in the collaborative setting of equal relationship. Through analysis, it found that the key to information sharing in the setting of principal-agent relationship is affirmation of incentive intensity, and the key to information sharing in the setting of equal relationship is distribution of profit realized by information sharing. In the sector of research on trust mechanism, this paper introduces the important of trust and the construction step of trust mechanism. Next, on the basis of analysis of SCCM, this paper analysis the relationship between SCCM and supply chain collaborative performance, and put forward the thinking and method of evaluation of SCCM, and abstract a supply chain mechanism evaluation index, and through a numerical example validate it. Lastly, this paper put forward a scheme of SCC, and take DELL as example to introduce how apply it in practice.All in all, this paper applies mechanism design theory in the research on SCCM so as to make it more standardized and systematized, and therefore promote the successful application of SCCM.
