| Regional economic disparity issue is not only a global problem, but also a prevalent problem in the course of economic development around the world.This problem is still a multi-disciplinary research focus of scholars from economics, management, science,geography,environmental planning study and so on,with features of cross-cutting disciplines. Regional economic disparity issue is universal, China,as the largest developing socialist country with market economy status, whose regional economic disparity issue is particulary important and urgent,and the economic disparity problems is very serious.It shows not only in the differences between the three areas of Eastern China,Central China and Western China,but also in the inter-provincial differences,and differences are very obvious in the inner of each province.Jiangxi province,which lies in the central area of China,plays a more prominent role in the national economic district,and whether the economic development of each part of Jiangxi is harmoniously developed or not is directly related to Jiangxi's national economic development.Poyang Lake region,as one of China's important commodity grain production bases,plays an impotant role in Jiangxi, central China and even in China,and its development is impotant to Rise of Central China Plan. With the development of the "Reform and Openning-up" ,the economic difference gap between coastal regions and inland China has widened. And the economic difference of the internal of every region is also becoming more and more notable. And as an independent regional unit, Poyang Lake region's economic development exists significant spatial differentiation.In the past, researches on regional economic was mainly focused on the three areas of Eastern China,Central China and Western China or inter-provincial areas, fewer researchers focused on the reginal economic disparities of inner provinces, it couldn't entirely reflect the real reginal economic disparities of China. So,based on the case study and other computer software ways, take the 24 cities or counties of Poyang lake region as a samper,the thesis systemically studied on temporal-spatial distribution patterns of economic disparity in the Poyang lake region,in order to provide scientific basis for regional development of Poyang lake region,Jiangxi province,even China.Firstly,based on summarizing abundance of research literatures not only in China but also in the other country; defined and explaned the disparities of regional economy,this study analyzed and compared the index and methods of measuring disparities of regional economy.Secondly,choosing the 24 cities or counties of Poyang lake region as a studying unit,collecting 24 cities or counties'initial data,using SPSS15.0 and Arc GIS for windows software,and adopting the principal component analysis and other methods, put the case study on temporal-spatial distribution patterns of economic disparity in the Poyang lake region,draw the following conclusion:First,the the total absolute disparity and relative disparity of regional economy in 24 counties and cities of Poyang lake region are expanding from 1990 to 2006.Second,the disparities of regional economy in the Poyang lake region is distinct,which shows a dual economy characteristic.The Poyang lake region could be classified into 5 kinds,named developed,more developed, middling and backward. Developed and more developed counties or cities in the Poyang lake region mostly distribute on the west of the lake, especially along Beijing- kowloon railway; middling and backward areas mainly distribute on the east of the lake.Finally,based on the above conclusions,the study analyzed the reasons which have caused the regional disparity in the Poyang lake region from the following aspects: natural endowment,location,history&culture,industry characteristic,.etc. Based on regional economic theories and game theory,suggestions and countermeasures were also put forward to the regional coordination development. |
