It is significant for sustainable development of our economy to expand the domestic demand further, adjust the relationship between investment and consumption, and enhance the pulling effect of consumption to the economic growth. The focal point of increasing residents'consumption is without question the consumption of rural residents who occupy the majority of total population. However, the development of rural consuming market in China is still slow now, and our rural residents'consuming demand is somewhat low. All these problems affect sustainable development of our economic society. Based on this, this article analyzes all kinds of factors that might affect consuming demands of our rural residents with empirical method, and shows that rural residents'income, fiscal expenditure in rural areas, urbanization level and social security system all have a positive influence on consuming demand. The influence of gap between urban and rural residents'income is negative. There is no cleat-cut correlation between internal gap of rural residents' income and rural residents'consumption. And then, we put forward some policy suggestion according to conclusions of the empirical study.Compared with previous domestic researches about related question, this article not only attaches qualitative analysis, but also puts more emphasis on the quantitative analysis. This paper systematically analyzes relationship between different kinds of factors and rural residents'consumption. So that we make it clear the factors which affect rural residents'consumption and their function pattern. And the policy suggestions which are put out based on this will be more operational.
