Building on existing research and theory, the present study attends to explore conceptual structure and mechanism of employee voice behavior. Such whole research consists of three steps. First of all, by means of literature reading and analyzing, and semi-structured interview, the research collected many events of employee voice behavior which could make a better understanding of styles and contents of voice behavior. Secondly, based on the collected resources, this study found the facets of voice behavior and developed its measure. Finally, the relationship between managerial openness, psychological empowerment, zhong-yong thinking stye and voice behavior was tested. In addition, the difference on voice behavior among participants'demographic characteristics including age, gender, tenure with the company in years was investigated as well. The conclusions are as follows:1. The constructive issues that employees choose to express were found in workplace in China context.2. Voice behavior in China context was a multidimensional construct, it consisted of considerate voice behavior and aggressive voice behavior.3. Managerial openness predicted employee considerate voice behavior as well as aggressive voice behavior significantly.4. Psychological empowerment can partially mediate the relationship between managerial openness and considerate voice behavior, and completely mediate the relationship between managerial openness and aggressive voice behavior.5. Zhong-yong thinking style moderated the relationship between managerial openness and considerate voice behavior, as well as moderated the relationship between managerial openness and aggressive voice behavior.6. Both considerate voice behavior and aggressive voice behavior existed discrepancies on the aspects of demographic variables such as age, gender, tenure, education and so on.At last, the results were discussed on the basis of related theories. And limitations and future research were pointed out as well.
