Land is the most basic resources of human survival and development. the most outstanding landscape mark of the earth surface is land using and land covering.The stady of land use and cover change became hotspot of global change research because of the increasingly prominent problems such as the rapid population growth, food shortage, environment pollution, climate change, biological diversity decreased, etc. So,as a breakthrough point of global change research, many researchers put the land use and cover change as the their stady contents, to investigate human's role In the global change.Take Jiangsu province as research areas,based on extensive collection of various kinds of information in the study area, use panel data econometric theories and methods, This thesis made depth research and analysis of land use/cover change of Jiangsu Province. Stadied the status and changes of land use, and did a qualitative and quantitative analysis of land use and cover change, and eventually built the socio-economic model of the land use and cover change of Jiangsu Province.1.Through comprehensive analysis to the present situation of land use and cover of Jiangsu Province, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis of the integrated method and mathematical model for means, to stady the land use change range, land use change dynamic degree and land use degree, Reveal the characteristics and problems of land utilization in Jiangsu Province.2.Using the methods correlation coefficient analysis and Granger causality analysis of econometrics and by means of the software SPSS and Eviews, analyzed the correlation and causality between land use change and social and economic factors, found out the main social and economy driving force factors of land ues and cover change.3.constructed social economic models of various land use types by using panel data econometrics theories and methods, and analyzed the models we can know that cultivated land change mainly forced by the factors such population, people's living standards and economic development and so on and population is the biggest influence factors of forestland changing and the improvement of residents income and living standards beneficial to water area expanding ect.
