Comprehensive Appraisal And Empirical Analysis On The Operating Performance Of Listed Companies In Northwest China

In recent years, the listed companies in Northwest china have unsatisfactory business performance. It's a Pressing problem that to find the factors influencing operating performance of the listed companies, Summarize the characteristics and laws and to Improve the operating performance of listed companies and maintain a sustainable development.This paper firstly describes the concept and theoretical basis of performance evaluation,then reviews the development of domestic and foreign performance evaluation and the relevant empirical research literature.Secondly, this paper makes empirical analysis via factor analysis and Cluster Analysis. Using the indicator system constructing above, on the basis of Northwest China in 2008 annual reports of listed companies publish financial data,this paper uses statistical software to do factor analysis and cluster analysis, and obtains results of ranking and classification which dividing the listed companies into 6 categories. This part paves the way for further analysis.After that,the dissertation makes further analysis of the characteristics of the operational performance.This part uses the results of factor analysis and cluster analysis to make analysis on operating performance of listed companies from the releation of performance and industry characteristics, the regional advantages,and regional distribution.The results show us some characteristics and laws of operating performance of listed companies.Finally, According to conclusion of this paper,this part proposes some countermeasures to improve the operating performance of listed companies.
