Tailings is a high potential of man-made debris flow hazards. In more than a decade or even decades, a variety of natural and man-made negative elements have a direct threat to its security. Once the crash, likely to cause major accidents to people's lives and property downstream causing serious damage. Therefore, security and stability of the tailings is very important. In this paper, lead-Plumbum and zinc tailings Qibaoshan in Jiangxi Province geological hazard assessment of the problem. Primarily by tailings in the region geological survey topographic to analyze the existence of libraries in the region major geological disaster. By tailings dam deformation monitoring, water level monitoring, flow deformation analysis, projection, basic characteristics and slope stability project evaluation and other quantitative methods assess the new dam, second dam, open pit slope stability of road slope, etc., the following conclusions:1. The tailings grade four, is the more important construction projects, site geological conditions are very complicated and comprehensive construction project to determine the geological hazard assessment rating for the one level.2. Assessment of geological hazard area, under natural conditions are not well developed, but the improper construction activities easy to geological disasters, due to mining, road excavation triggered two landslides, landslides have been cleared or has been stable, has no effect on the tailings.3. The main tailings dam foundation is stability, and good stability on both sides of abutment by the possibility of collapse of small landslide threat. Late accumulation of sub-dam design is gentle slope, seepage deformation generated forecast (stream sand damage) the possibility of small.4. Auxiliary dam foundation and the left abutment is stability. Strong right abutment rock weathering, and a steep artificial slope, stability is poor.5. Tailing the degree of debris flow-prone hard place, tailing the possibility of being a small debris flow; Tailings left slope, tailing right (south) bank slope stability is poor, may have small-scale landslides; Bank Rebuilding is weak, little possibility of induced landslides.6. Tailings form a high right bank slope of flood discharge trench 1 ~ 3m, the artificial slope, 1700m long, the left bank of the main road to the tailings dam to create high-3 ~ 8m, total length of 460m of the artificial slope, due to residual soil slope and strong wind plot of rock broken loose, stability are less likely to produce the collapse hazard, flood and road access affect the flood discharge trench. 7. Open pit formed around the high 150 ~ 170m step-like artificial slope, and waste rock pile slope, due to large thickness of rock weathering and there is strong negative structural surface composition, waste rock loose, these artificial slope stability are less likely to produce landslides disasters, waste rock pile of debris flow-prone areas in the degree of susceptibility, may trigger debris flows. Stope slope instability or trigger mudslides, and difficult to jeopardize the auxiliary dam reservoir, but a direct threat to the safety of the mining field.8. Overall, the tailings dam area and the development of geological disasters are generally not natural slope stability to poor, poor artificial slope stability, possible landslides typically small scale, has little effect on the tailings and simple prevention measures. Artificial slope to take appropriate control measures, reservoir, dam-induced suffering and the possibility of geological disasters are a small, site suitable for construction of tailings.
