In recent years, integrated level of the medical equipments with portable implantation is increasing gradually. The applications of diagnosis and remedy for patients are practiced by business research institutes. These micro-wireless equipments provide a lot of requirement for practical applications, especially in the domain of health care. All kinds of physiology information are vital, such as electrocardiogram, electroencephalogram, oxyhemoglobin saturation, blood pressure and body temperature and so on. The most important objects of study in the system design are the wireless path of data transmission and the research of implanted medical equipments.Although the wireless communication technology in free space is used widely and has full-blown development, the communication method through in or on the the human body is brand-new. The human body communication technology is a novel communication method to connect these advanced electronic equipments for health care with near field of human body. It is necessary to understand channel model of human body communication for achieving the data transmission requirement of efficiency, reliability, high-speed, safety, using human body tissues as transmitting medium. The channel model of human body communication which provides effective theory basic and reliable experimental data for biomedical sensor parameters determined is investigated in the dissertation. The dissertation includes some sections as fellows:Firstly, the research values of human body communication are introduced, and the current situation is investigated domestically and overseas. The core technology of human body communication is elaborated.Secondly, the two kinds of coupling ways for human body communication, galvanic coupling and capacitive coupling, are analyzed in detail. The advantage and disadvantage of the two kinds of coupling ways are compared at length, and the reason to use capacitive coupling is illustrated in the dissertation.Thirdly, the channel characteristics of human body communication are studied utilizing the Electrical characteristics parameters including relative dielectric constant and conductivity. The human body circuit model is presented, whose attenuation and capacitive features are simulated by ADS software. The curves of attenuation and capacitive characteristics of human body channel are tested and analyzed in detail through the comprehensive tests of human body communication. The results of tests and simulations are compared and the effects are relatively good, which will guide the direction of more human body circuit channel. At last, the part of human body communication, which lies in the first generation mobile medical chip designed by Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology is introduced and the characteristic tests are also explained. Besides, choosing the channel encoding and modulation methods for base band system of the second generation mobile medical chip are illustrated preliminarily.
