The Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics(SPH) numerical simulation method about two-dimensional axisymmetric is studied from theory, program design and examples analysis in the cylindrical frame. The main aspects of research works in this paper are: Large numbers of literatures about SPH method is viewed, the theoretical foundation and developing situation and trend of SPH has been described systematically; A series of formulation based on the two-dimensional axisymmetric is re-deduced in the cylindrical frame, a suit of integrative compute method about SPH in cylindrical frame has been smarried; The compute program for the two-dimensional axisymmetrical SPH method with elastic-plastic effect has been written by FORTRAN language, several models about high-velocity impact are studied by using the program. The simulations include long rod and short rod perforating to the thin target, long rod and short rod penetrating and impenetrating to the medium thickness target, the compare of target's destructive degree under different velocity and long rod penetrating to the thick target. For the problem of remainder velocity after rod perforating the thin target and the penetrating depth and remainder rod length of long rod with high velocity penetrating thick target, the theoretical analysis is done and contrasted with the numerical simulation results.The research results indicate that the compute method of SPH in cylindrical frame is reasonable and the compute program is useful. The numerical simulation images to the process of rods penetrating targets are reasonable.
