This thesis is relied on the subject"analysis of prospecting foreground and evaluation of favourable play of oil and gas in Santanghu Basin" and based on areal geology, gravity,magnetism,electricity,seism,rock-core etc,and it's guiding ideology is the Plate Tectonic Theory, the Continental Dynamics.the new achievements and the new understandings of the international exploitation of oil and gas fields.In light of the elementary analytic principles "Integrated,Dynamic,Comprehensive",it studies the structural features and the formation and evolution of Santanghu Basin on the the basis of obtaining abundant first-hand data.Santanghu Basin is located between Altai Mountain and Tianshan Belt,it is a composite and reconstructed basin which superposes on the Paleozoic erogenic belt of Paleozoic age.The basement of the basin is likely to go through such processes before Permian period: the diving of ocean,the hyperplasia of island arc,then the collision of continents,and it is an active island arc belt.Santanghu Basin takes on a northwest structural framework macroscopically,that is,the center geotectogence is located between the northeast thrust and nappe tectonic and the southwest one,and the center geotectogence is divided into nine sub-tectonic units from east to west.According to the feature of the areal geology.the formation and the relationship of stratums,the difference of tectonic deformation of stratums in different period in Santanghu Basin,This basin is divided into four structural layeres: structural layer of basement;structural layer of Permian;structural layer of Triassic-Jurassic-Cretaceous;structural layer of Tertiary-Quaternary.This thesis studies each structural layer's feature: (1) structural layer of basement:it is a Paleozoic folded basement,whose tectonic deformation and magma intrusion is fiercely,and it is affected by the early Hercynian tectonic movement and related to the underthrust and closure (C1) of Zhungaer ocean basin and the areal pressing of continents (C2-3);(2) structural layer of Permian:due to the regional extending and fault depression role in mid-Hercynian,it occurred to the combinations of structure and magma in Santanghu basin and it's periphery area,such as A-granite's stock,batholiths and diabase's dike.There are many fault depressions possible. Affected by the regional pressing role in late Hercynian,the stratums of late Hercynian age missed in the basin,and it occurred to the combinations of gradual folds and thrusts of remaining structural layer in Permian in the center geotectogence.The direction of areal press stress is possibly from north to south;(3) structural layer of Triassic-Jurassic-Cretaceous: related to the late Yansan and Himalayas movement,this structural layer took on a northeast syncline as a whole,going with northwest sub-faults,they came into being faulted-folds and faulted-noses.Onthe basis of this.it went with northeast sub-faults and sub-faulted-folds,sub-faulted-noses.They occurred to the structure combination that was made up of most northwest structures and lesser northeast structure.This basin possibly went through such a gradul evolution process:firstly regional pressing then strike-slipping concurrently;(4) structural layer of Tertiary-Quaternary: related to the late Yansan and Himalayas tectonic movement continuously.the north side and the south one of Santanghu Basin were folded and uplifted continuously.at the same time,the framework of the basin was increasing fixed,it occurred to the macroscopical structural frameworkjt showes different belts from north to south and different blocks from east to west.According to the synthetically study of remnant stratum list,sediment system.character of sediment filling,comeback of archetypal basin and feature of tectonic deformation,Santanghu basin passed through four formation and evolution phases: (1) formation and evolution of basin's basement;(2) formation and evolution of fault-fold to depression basin in Permian;(3) formation and evolution of depression basin in Triassic-Jurassic-Cre...
