| The topic of damage accumulation and life-time estimation of steel in fatigue is one of the important researching directions for solid mechanics now, there are many problems needed to be solved in theory or in experiment. In this paper, some tentative researches have been done.(1) We choose resistance of steel as a variable for fatigue damage research. The relationship between resistance and fatigue damage has been studied and theoretical expressions have been obtained. Based onthe expressions and the data obtained from the fatigue experiment on 45 steel, a numerical model is deduced to estimate the fatigue accumulation of steel and pre-estimate the lifetime of steel. Whether the resistivity changes or not, the theoretical calculation results is almost the same as the experiment results. Furthermore, According to results, the resistance of steel can reflect the damage exactly.(2) Depending on the analysis of flaw size of the experimental samples, a theoretical model has been reached. The model is more close to the experiment result. |
