Luo Bin (Optics Engineering)Directed by Yu Xuecai, Zong DerongBased on the laser mode locking principle, this paper focuses on the study of DDS acousto-optic mode locker. It is discoverde that with a looped feedback circuit,the DDS acousto-optic mode locking has the function of tracking the frequency interval of the laser resonator longitudinal mode,and stabilizing the quality of the laser beams.This paper mainly discusses the designing and testing method to the DDS acousto-optic mode locking. It also makes some further analysis on the critical technology ------ the transducer acoustical membrane matching and transducer thinning, which can directly affect the performance of acousto-optic elements. It then analyses the heat effect of acousto-optic elements and the technology of transducer thinning by developing ion-beam sputtering of high frequency acousto-optic elements.As a result, the DDS acousto-optic mode locker with all its designed indexes is induced. And according to the testing theory of sound velocity in medium, this paper puts forward a new way of testing sound velocity in medium automatically by means of the DDS acousto-optic mode lockers.
