A review is presented of the issues associated with the generation of large-volume, high-pressure, nonequilibrium plasmas, as well as the approaches that have been developed for generating these plasmas using electrical discharge in gases. Last, recent efforts to obtain atmospheric pressure plasmas are discussed with particular emphasis on the plasma jet, which we have used to obtain high (electron) density nonequilibrium plasmas. Theoretical predictions are given of the spatiotemporal distribution of charged-particle densities and electric field in a high-frequency and radio-frequency glow discharge. The model is based on a numerical solution of the continuity equations for electrons, positive ions coupled with Poisson's equation. The scheme method is established to solve the equations. To the boundary condition, the charge density on dielectric surface is replaced by a charge density in a small volume on the boundary. The influence of frequency and different voltage on the discharge properties is analyzed and compared (qualitatively) with experimental results. The analysis and compare predicts that the spatiotemporal distribution of charged-particle densities in a high-frequency glow discharge is nonuniform. On the contrary, the distribution in a radio-frequency glow discharge is very uniform. Bu it need higher initial plasma density. And the gas flow can obtain high density nonequilibrium plasmas.
