The fracturing in hydrothermal mineralization system is not simply result of the mechanical behavior, but the coupling of solid mechanical process with the fluid process. Therefore, it is very important to analyze the mechanism and location regulation of the hydrothermal mineral deposits by considering the mechanism of the rocky fracture assisted by fluid. This paper chose the Fenghuangshan copper deposit as the research object. The mechanical analysis, fractal statistic calculation and comprehensive geological analysis are used to research the characteristics of the mineralization, ore-controlling structures, and the regulation and mechanism of ore localization. Specially; fractal statistical compution is given to the breccias associated with the ore body II, typical ore body in the Fenghuangshan deposit, for discussing their origin. Finally, the hydraulic fracture mechanism and its role in the mineralization system of Fenghuangshan deposit is discussed.Through the above researches, the main accompanishments have achieved as following.1. The mechanisms of fluid-assisting rock fractur and the the fractal statistics applied to rocky fracture and breccias are summarized systemically.2. The systemical summarization and anlysis are given to mechanisms of fluid-assisted brecciation and its relationship to the hydrothermal mineralization.3. Through analyzing the mineralization feature and ore-controlling regulation of the Fenghuangshan copper mineral deposit, it is concluded that the mineral deposits were controlled by contact zone and fracture zone.4. By geological analysis and fractal statistical compution, it is demonstrated that the the breccias associated to ore body II in the Fenghuangshan deposit were mainly origined by hydraulic fracturing.5. The comprehensive researches indicated that the fracturing center is coincident with the dilation center, energy input center and the mineralization center in the Fenghuangshan copper deposit.
