This thesis discusses the basic theory and performance of laser radar for free-space rendezous and docking (RVD),and describes the outlook on application of phase-shift range finder for free-space RVD.In allusion to the specific requests of phase-shift laser range finder for free-space RVD, a new phase-detective method other than general phase-detective method is put forward, it can increase the measure speed by applying this method and satisfy the requests of system for measuring dynamic target in real-time in free-space.The thesis analyses the connection of receiving light power and distance 。The thesis analyses the problem on the noise of APD photoelectricReceiving system. Author designs semiconductor laser modulation driving circuit, APD laser signal receiving and amplify system circuit .and adopts auto-gain-control tech to keep from light indensity saturation . To simplify the signal process circuit and diminish the height ,bulk and power consumption ,author designs CPLD device by VHDL language.
