Applying the reliability analysis to the management and design of landslides is one of the most important subject in today's study on the prevention and cure of landslides hazard, it will improve in the sufficiency of the traditional design methods in great degree, making the target have enough safety degree as well as economic. As a result, it will make the design and analysis become more reasonable.Firstly, the article introduces some commonly used methods for the treatment to the landslides, pointing out the merit and the shortcoming of the commonly used cantilever anti-slide piles in the management of landslides and the superiority of the anchor anti-slide pile in the landslide harness engineering. The common methods on how to calculate the internal force and displacement of the system on anchor anti-slide pile are analyzed and described. As a result, a new method using the initial parameter method to calculate the internal force and displacement of the system on anchor and anti-slide pile is put forward.On the other hand, the article introduces the basic principle and research approaches on reliability analysis and use it in the system of anchor anti-slide pile. In the following, the corresponding state equation is setup according to the possible efficiency mode. At the same time, the article analyses the reliability of the system on anchor and anti-slide pile using the linear second order moment method and partial coefficient method and the corresponding procedure is written. Through comparing with and studying the controlling schemes of the first landslide in Yanan pagoda-mountain, the superiority of anchor anti-slide pile is verified as a new-type retaining structure. At the same time, it also proved that it is feasible to apply the reliability principle to the management and design of landslide hazard.
