After 30 years of oil and gas exploration and development, there are a lot of achievements about the sedimentology and reservoir research, but there are also some problems not been resolved,such as the restitution of the protobasin and the restitution of paleogeography, And the exploitation work need a system prediction about the sand bodies. This paper just aims at these points. By comprehensively utilizing the geological, seismic, well logging, analysis and test data, we analysis the material source characters and the sedimentary type of the upper Tertiary . By the base of calibrating seismic data with core and well logging data, we can research the paleogeography of the whole basin. Integrating the paleogeography factors, the geological factors and the diagenetic factors, we can present the available sand bodies and make a elementary classify to giving some suggest for the lately oil and gas exploration.
