Two kinds of rectangular elements are considered to solve the two-dimensional and second-order elliptic boundary value problem on anisotropic meshes. By using some novel technology and the distinct properties of these rectangular elements, we investigate super-close and superconvergence of two classes of elements.Three kinds of derivative supercon-vergence points are obtained. Finally, we list a lot of examples to confirm our theoretical analysis. Our analysis is helpful of developing posteriori estimates method and designing some adaptive algorithms of numerical solutions for the second order problems.
