Scan Contour Image Editing

With the coming of knowledge economic era, GIS provides people a wider and deeper way to comprehend the world. Getting vector information from images is the base of GIS. Scanned image's Vectorization is one of the most important works in GIS, which had not thoroughly resolved yet. And the scanned image's edit is the base of the vectorization work.This paper starts from the importance and necessity of the scanned image edit work in GIS, analyzes the actuality and the ordinary methods in and out of our country. Facing the actuality, I developed a small agile scanned contour image edit software by Visual C++. The basic content of this software is: the read and display of the image, the save of the image, the operation of the image(zoom and move), the two-valued of image, the image noise reducing, and the add, delete and modify of the image. The emphases is the noise reducing of the scanned image. The edit operation is mainly accomplished by co-operational methods. User can add, delete or modify anything in the image.At last, a scanned contour map is used to test this software, a good result is got. That also suggests the scanned contour image editing software is a useful software for the work of the scanned contour image edit.
