The research on reservoir flow unit is a method of heterogeneity of reservoir, which sprang up in later 1980s. The definition of reservoir flow unit is a 3D successive volume of reservoir rock with the same character of seep and the least unit of deposit and moving fluid.By strict analysis and research on sediment, diagenesis, characteristics of reservoir structure and dynamic development of reservoir in western Wu2 district, single sandbody was identified form multiple sandbody based on division of single sand and microfacies, the division and evaluation about connective units and its quality were carried out by flow zone index, then the division of flow unit was made in connective sand. In order to afford valid data in non-coring well, logging evaluation model including porosity, permeability and saturation was found. Boundary condition was confirmed, spatial distribution of flow unit was recognized, distributing laws of remaining oil were forecasted. Eventually the following results and conclusions have been obtained.1 , Integrative description of geologic parameter of static reservoir and fluid dynamic diversification is remarkable. Flow unit course was influenced not only by heterogeneity of reservoir, which is intrinsic factor, and property of fluid, it was influenced by style of development, which is exterior factor.2, Discrepancy is emphasized in the connective body of flow unit, geologic factors, fluid factors and producing measures that influent fluid are uniform in the interior of same flow unit and has the same characteristics on hydrodynamic and seepage.3, With the change of time and space, flow unit is dynamic conception. Physical characteristics of fluid and reservoir are constantly changing, so the hierarchy and the type of flow unit is also changing.4, The reservoir of west wu2 district was divided into four types by FZI. The granularity of type Ⅰ is coarse, porosity and permeability is fine, intergranular pores and intergranular dissolving pores are well developed, the pattern of pore-throat is network or sparse network; porosity and permeability of type Ⅱ is better, intergranular pores and intergranular dissolving pore is predominant, but pore-throat becomes narrow; porosity and permeability of type Ⅲ are poor, the structure of pore-throat is worse, the secondary porosity is well developed, porosity is sparsely dispersed; physical property of type Ⅳ is worse, the structure of pore-throat is worst,the secondary porosity is well development.5 ^ There are three types of seepage barrier in the reservoir of western wu2 district, they are mud, cementation and block barrier, the first is prior.6^ The type of flow unit clearly reflects the condition of connective system and moving fluid. The better is the quality of flow unit, the more serious of the waterflooding, the worse is the quality of flow unit, the more slight the waterflooding. The distribution of flow unit controls the direction of filling water, bringing along the division of waterflooding.
