The paper is mainly about the GOCE Mission, which will be launched in autumn 2006.Firstly we introduced the differences and relationships among the GOCE, CHAMP and GRACE missions. Secondly we discussed the character of the satellite gravity gradiometry measurement, the scientific target of the mission, the error types and error analysis and the end-to-end simulation tools. At last we classified the scientific products and the methods to process these data, the satellite's payloads and its development. Also we evaluated the possible potential that the GOCE mission will promote some fields to develop when the mission implemented.The satellite gravity gradiometry will be the trend in the gravity satellite domain. We discussed and analyzed its core technology based on summarized of the gradiometer's actuality and foreground inside and outside. We also put forward the development trace that adapt to the situation of our country. The purpose of this paper is to do some possible accumulate and reference for our country to develop gravity satellite and correspond Aeronautics and Space Administrations to launch satellites.
