Hunan Tourism Resources Webgis System Design And Implementation

WebGIS is a hotspot of GIS technology at present, making good use of convenient conditions of WWW technology, it's simple to use with low cost of information-broadcast. Depending on Web platform, WebGIS can provide services for most non-professional customs, therefore, it's very suit to GIS oriented popular service. With the development of computer technology and advance of net construction, it has wide application prospect and great potential. However, as the safety is concerned (especially the secret or knowledge right), there are still some obstacles for the WebGIS application so far.Tour resource information is a kind of geographic information with vivid characteristics. First, without the harassment of secret or knowledge -right protection, Second , to realize its commercial value, Facing the masses and society propaganda are demanded. As a result, it's feasible and necessary to apply WebGIS to tour resource information's broadcast.Hunan province is of rich tour resources, if we can use WebGIS to broadcast its tour resources on web, it's sure to be helpful to development of Hunan's tourism. Consequently, combining with Hunan's tour data and some other elemental datum related, we chose the WebGIS platform — ArcIMS software of American ESRI Inc. to develop Web-broadcast system of Hunan's tour resources.The main contents of this paper:In chapter one, simply explained the basic conception of GIS, then introduced the developing process and technology specialty of WebGIS. Meanwhile, explained the relationship between WebGIS and GIS . Afterwards, combining with the background of this research, brought forward the aim and meaning of this task. After that, laid out the contents working method and working steps of this research.In chapter two, simply introduced some computer technology of WebGIS and explained XML characteristic and its application in WebGIS, Which play important roles in ArcIMS system structure.In chapter three, start with ArcIMS system structure, explained its performance mechanism separation of logical layer and physical layer;From the view of use, introduced some things about construction ofWebsite, customization of client and server. Finally, analyzed the safety of the system.In chapter four, first , gave further explanation of the aim of this system;Second, according to the common ways of GIS development, explained the main contents of data preparation. At last discussed the environment-, the whole design, server development and achievement of custom's functional module.In chapter five, gave estimation and conclusion of this research, brought forward suggestions of further work of next stage.
