Embryonic develop associated gene (EDAG) is a novel hematopoiesis associated gene. EDAG is mapped to chromosome 9q22. It was identified by representational difference analysis (RDA) between fetal and adult liver. Studies indicate that EDAG expressed in the active hematopoietic organs such as fetal liver and adult bone marrow, and also in CD34~+ cells and leukemia cell line K562. EDAG gene has the activity of malignant transformation and is relative to maintaining undifferentiation of cells. Studies of transgenetic mouse show that overexpression of EDAG in haematopoietic cells of mouse leads to disturbance of proliferation and differentiation of haemopoietic stem cell (HSC). Taken together, these data suggest that EDAG gene might play an important role in haematopoietic development and neoplasm.Up to date, the mechanisms of EDAG regulating proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis of haematopoietic cells remain largely unknown. Considering that EDAG is a newly identified gene and there is no antibody on sale for research use. So we first constructed two fusion...
