Abstract: In the thesis, the current tracking modes of national radio telescopes were introduced. A new tracking mode based on PCI interrupt is presented. With the help of high speed and high performance of modern computer, we designed the hardware and software to control the telescope efficiently. The development of the hardware and software are described in details. And the current observing modes' programming is also discussed. The real time tracking of the radio telescope which guarantees the successful observing is an important part of the radio telescope system. It's also key to the validity and quality of the observing data.After the review of the background of the VLBI and the telescope control system, the description of the hardware and software design is introduced begin from the fourth chapter. The hardware sections mainly describe the PCI interface and componets of the interal FPGA. And the software sections are mainly about PCI driver programme and telescope control program (application programme). At last, a conclusion is drawn in chapter 5.
