Preliminary Classification Of Ancient China Sea Overflow Disasters

Under the guide of historical materialism and dialectical materialism, this dissertation used historical and nature scientific study way, systems analyzed the Marine disasters in Chinese history, especially tidal wave, the author of the thesis tries to develop a new research method on the history of marine disaster, and find the influence of the marine disasters with coastal society.The thesis divides into four chapters.Chapter One is the introduction, which is devoted to such aspects as selecting the research subject, retrospect of the research achievements, research methods, and so on. The research materials and way of treating those materials are also introduced in this chapter.Chapter Two and Three are general descriptions about marine disasters in different periods. Chapter Two describes the marine disaster caused by the meteorological phenomenon; include stormy tide and rainstorm tide. Chapter Three major describes the marine disaster caused by the geological features, include tsunami and other tide waves disasters.Chapter Four discusses the influence brought by marine disasters to coastal agricultural society and construction engineering. Under the influence of tide disaster, coastal areas developed a different mode of agricultural and construction development. This mode had an obvious marine feature. The influence brought by marine disasters to various industries in coastal areas is also discussed in this chapter. In a word, this dissertation studied the marine disaster in different reason, different part, frequently time and sea areas in the history, and discussed the cognition process and fortifications ways. Also analyzed the influence brought by marine disasters to coastal society. Give the useful material of the marine disaster fortifications in nowday.
