Through the polar curve method, the variation of the metal plate segments' projection angle at the early time was obtained.In the moving reference frame, regarding the material as incompressible fluid and considering the force between the neighbouring segments, from the momentum equation, a projection angle equation of the planar flyer plate under detonation driving was deduced in this article. Solving this equation, a general expression of the projection angle formula was obtained and the Taylor formula was the result of the equation under the steady condition. Also the equivalence between the solution of the equation and the geometry relation of the vector triangle was discussed.For the problem of detonation driving plate, if some quantities could be gained from theories or experiments, we can deduce the projection angle formula from the projection angle equation. Using the equation, regarding the projection angle as a small quantity, neglecting the differentiation of the absolute value of the tangential velocity with respect to the time, the P.C.Chou formula was easily obtained. When considering the differentiation of the absolute value of the tangential velocity with respect to the time, the improved P.C.Chou formula was obtained. According to the projection angle equation, we modify the Taylor formula and obtain the improved Taylor formula.Through applying the SPH method to the detonation driving plate problems, a clear wave structure in the metal plate and the varying process of the projection angle...
