The Information Management System for Airborne Geophysical Data isoriginating from CGS (China Geological Survey) who has decided to construct theProject of Airborne Geophysical Database. It would aim to make better service forland resources exploration and rapid service in geology, accomplish managinginformation for the airborne geophysical data and sharing resources, provide airbornegeophysical data inquiring and searching service. In this book, the Application Systemis another sub-system for serving and managing data, which is based on the DataAcquisition Sub-system.At first, the text describes the airborne geophysical prospecting datameasurement way, data source, data characteristic and classification. It has introducedairborne geophysical surveying methods: aeromagnetic (include gradient) survey,airborne electromagnetic survey, airborne gamma-ray survey and airborne gravity(include gradient) survey. The database's data is produced from field survey and datapreprocessing, potential field processing, geologic interpretation, future serve,production reports, etc. A great number of data and multivariable are the datacharacteristics. The database data type is divided into: the project general situationdata, primary incoming data, primary survey data, the correction and transform data,interpretive data, appraisable data, anomalistic data, words and maps file data, testingdata.Secondly, the text introduces the Management System. It is divided into twoindependent sub-system of the Data Acquisition Sub-system and the ApplicationSub-system. Respectively, two sub-systems are in charge of managing database dataand serving data. At the same time, the Application Sub-system designing frameworkand technological process and function are introduced.Finally, the text has depicted detailed for the process of the modules constructionfor Application System is the most important. The anomalistic point edit module is incharge of creating anomalistic data. The project survey module has to query theproject general situation information. All kinds of data been queried by the integratedsurvey module. Providing data service for users by the data pick-up module.
