This article take the high dynamic GPS satellite signal simulator development as abackground, two key technologies(the carrier number controlled oscillator and the code numbercontrolled oscillator)of the high dynamic GPS satellite signal simulator are studied in details. Atlast, the software part and several uses of the GPS satellite signal simulator are studied generally.First the fundamental theory of the carrier number controlled oscillator is introduced, thenthe phase truncation error and amplitude quantization error are analyzed, together with theirinfluences on the spectrum of the output signal, arid then a formula is presented to evaluate theinfluences which corresponds with the simulating results. Then two methods are introduced tosuppress the spurs, together with their implementing architecture, which are proved to bepractical according to the simulating results. At last the principle of choosing parameters forcarrier number controlled oscillator is introduced.Second the fundamental theory of the code number controlled oscillator is introduced, thenthe performances of the two methods are analyzed. Also the reason for phase dither is analyzed,and then the value of phase dither is calculated. After that the problems of sampling and signalaccuracy are analyzed which are caused by phase dither, and a clew is introduced to solve theseproblems. At last the principle of choosing parameters for code number controlled oscillator isintroduced.After the research of two key technologies (the carrier number controlled oscillator and thecode number controlled oscillator), two big difficult problems of designing GPS simulator arewell solved.
