Interest in research on the propagation of polarized light in turbid medium has increased recently because the polarization effects in scattered light can yield useful information about biological material, especially in noninvasive optical diagnosis and imaging through body tissues.In this thesis, the properties of the state of polarization of scattered light from turbid media were investigated both in experimental method and mathematical analysis. First of all, the interactions of polarized light with glucose dissolved in turbid medium were investigated, We researched the variation rule of pattern of backscattered Mueller matrix and depolarization value.The experimental results showed dissolved glucose increased the refractive index of water in the Intralipid,reduced the matching of refractive index between scattering and environmental media, thus reduced the scattering power. caused the region of the Mueller matrix the two-dimensional distribution map to change larger and following the pattern distortion. Next,we studied the changing of Mueller matrix two-dimensional distribution and depolarization value under the different size, the different shape hideaway in the intralipid when the distance the fluid surface different depth.. Using this kind of change, we can determine whether the object is present or absent in a turbid medium from the differences. Finally, to the eigenvalue and the Eigenvector of numerical Mueller matrix, We have carried on the preliminary discussion. Firstly, to the Mueller matrix's eigenvalue and the Eigenvector of the ideal simple optical device, we have carried on the solution analysis, and discoveried that mathematical expressions and the physical significance can perfectly be consistent. Also to 0.05% intralipid when incidence angle is 15 degrees, we valued the Mueller matrix two-dimensional distribution map and made a concrete analysis of 60th line,70th row normalized numerical Mueller matrix's eigenvalue and the Eigenvector. Then has discovered the change law of the 70th row value Mueller matrix' eigenvalue.
