With the rapid development of ocean observing technology,to take embedded computer as a core data acquisition system has been accounting to the important position in the field of the ocean observations. Data acquisition is a process that obtains target information access for one or more digital signals, whose the main function become the analog signals to digital signals, with analysis, processing, storage and display. According to the development status quo of the data acquisition system for the paper, with the special requirements of the ocean observations, designing current meter data acquisition and control system is an important theoretical and practical significance.What this paper developed data acquisition and control system is from MSP430F149, calendar and clock chip, ADC and SD cards and so on, and according to the ideas design of minimizing power consumption, to obtain and record relative data in the case of battery-powered, the acquisition system can be on the work state ground for a long time, so this system is characterized by an output alarm calendar clock chip etc that has a wake-up unit or opens power in the fixed time, after using SCM controls all sensor of the data collection, storage and re-setting for the clock chip etc.; the system will realize a fairly high temperature accuracy of measurement through AD transform; and synchronously serial communication system could extend the plug the memory card of the greater capacity, with storing acquisition time and data collection time after time. By means of removing memory, the data of the memory can be sent to a portable computer in order to further processing. The state of the system can be set by way of the serial communication. The system realizes velocity measurements, temperature and pressure collection as well as portable storage.The indicators of acoustic Doppler current meter data acquisition and control system have been circulating the testing and analysis. As shown in results, the system can effectively complete the requirements of indicators, at the meanwhile it still have some advantages about miniaturization, low-power, low-cost and processing of speed, highly versatile and so on.
