The principles and the development status of laser near zone ranging and locating of the object were studied in this paper, on this basis, the method of realizing the emission and receiver units in laser panoramic detection system was comprehensively analysised through both theoretical and practical ways., then the design scheme of the laser panoramic detection system was proposed. The FOV configuration and its characteristics of laser panoramic detection system were further studied, which provide the scientific theoretical reference and safe and effective realization method to the laser panoramic detection system. Emission units adopted the partition scheme, light beam from laser source was reshaped to be fan shaped with the divergence angles of 60°×1°in horizontal and vertical directions, and six fan shaped beams make the 360°panoramic detection realized. Receiver units were composited with six photosensitive elements and have FOV matching with Emission units. Receiver units realize the large field angle detecting and determine the target location. According to the transformation characteristics of Gaussian beam through lens, the location and dimension of the photosensitive elements were determined. The emission and receiver integration design of laser panoramic detection system was discussed. The experimental results from the finishing designing laser panoramic detection system model prototype show that the above design can obtain laser panoramic echoes, and provide the reference for the further theoretical analysis and system designing.
