Land-use/cover change is the result of synthetical effect of nature, economy and society.Through the researching on land-use/cover dynamic change in regions, especially in typical regions, the characteristics and law of land-use/cover change of the regions can be revealed.Human activities are regulated as the reasons and driving forces of land-use/cover change. It's helpful for rational utilization of land and sustainable development of the regions. Extraction of land-use/cover and its change information is the foundation of remote sensing monitoring land-use/cover change. Implementing change detection analysis by integrating Remote Sensing and GIS is one of the development trends. After analyzing various general methods of change information detection, the thesis proposes a technical procedure to extract land-use/cover and its change information basing on both polygons and RS images from a practical angle. The thesis has got land-use/cover change information about travel establishing districts on the north bank of the Dianchi lake in Kunming, Yunnan Province.Through it the procedure has been verified. The travel development establishes districts on the north bank of the Dianchi lake is the typical region of travel development, which has been established under the 'reform and opening' policy. In order to research the land-use/cover change structure in this region during 1996 to 2004, the thesis processed and analyzed the land use map, topographic map and the Spot-5 image based on the technology of Remote Sense(RS) and Geographic Information System(GIS).The writer has do some spatial analysis, such as rectifying, registering, vectoring, topologic error checking, transforming documents, overlaying and statist for maps of land use and topographical maps with the scale of 1 to 10000 in 1996 by MapGIS and ArcGIS.And the work including "image reproject" to "projection transformation" by ERDSA Imagine's and ENVI's processing, geometric correction by quadratic polynomial and dual linear interpolating, image enhancement by the main components of the transformation, irregular tailoring SPOT5 image by processing mask, establishing signs of remote sensing interpretation for SPOT5 image, obtaining classification chart of the land use in 2004 by supervised classifying. After really sampling analysis,we could come to a conclusion that the interpretation precision of this study area's monitoring result comes near to 76%.The article selected corresponding indicators for to design current the land-use/cover change structure.According to the actual land use / cover situation of the study area, the writer has selected a conversion matrix, dynamic changes of quantitative criteria to describing the changes actually. The preliminary results indicate that: 1)In 2004,the quantity occupancy of arable land has suddenly decreased from 41.87% to 30.36%;the quantity occupancy of arable land has suddenly increased from 7.60% to 20.92%.During this 8 years, the total quantity of both waters and grass land decreased a little but the total quantity of forest land increased a little. 2)Form 1996 to 2004, the main dynamic changes of the overall pilot area land use is the conversion from cultivated land to construction land by analyzing the dynamic changes of land use and changing rate in year and relative changing rate. According to the diagnosing, it is showed that nature factor is the basic condition for the local land use/cover, such as climate, terrain, and physiognomy condition and so on, and it plays a determination role in the local land use structure in a certain extent. However, the society and economy factor is the dominant influence, such as policy orientation, economy development, and tertiary-industry development and so on. So it is the effective way to realize the continuable use in the travel urgently-developing areas that insisting the principle that protecting the cultivated land, increasing the forest land, and controlling the land construction, giving attention to land development quantity and quality, and implementing the measures that reasonable programming, adjusting the industry structure.
