Bailongjiang Assia Nature Reserve Seed Plant Diversity

Studies on the composition,geographic distribution,and living form etc.of flora distributd in the Axia Nature Reserve of Diebu were carried out.The classification and characteristics of thr flora were analyzed.1.There are 943 species of spermatophyte(including 72 varieties),belonging to387 genera of 111 families in the Axia Nature Reserve of Bailongjiang Gansu;of which,the gymnosperm has 35 species;belonging to 13 of 5 families and the angiosperm has 908 species;belonging to 374 genera of 106 families.2.According to the distributing type division of China's spermatophyte which put forward by Mr.Li Xiwen,the spermatophyte of Axia Nature Reserve of Bailongjiang should be divided into 9 distributing types.3.The flora in the Reserve is complex and mixing,and contains the dominant plants of north China,central China,the Qinling Mountains,the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the northwest desert area.The temperate plant component is dominanthere.Some characteristic species of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,and some special and endemic components of north China,middle China and Qinling mountainous areas distribute in the Reserve with high percentages.The origin of the flora in the Reserve is ancient.The geographic composition of the Reserve genera is complex with varied distribution and joined each other.4.The live form of the Reserve's plants consists predominantly of perennial woody plants and herbage.In the plant communities,the live form mainly includes arbor,shrub, semi-shrub and perennial herbage with obvious predominance.5.According to the distributing units and system mentioned in the China's Vegetation and combining with the characteristic of the Axia Nature Reserve's vegetation,the plant community is classified into 42 communities,11 community groups,9 vegetative forms and 4 vegetative types.Frigid-temperate conifer,evergreen coniferous forest,montane poplars,and birch are the main communities,in addition temperate deciduous bush are found in the Axia River valley.6.The longitudinal distribution is distinct with bush,Pinus tabulaeformis,mixed broadleaf-conifer forest,spruce-fir,fir,alpine thin conifer,alpine rhododendron bush,and alpine meadow.7.A catalog of spermatophyte of the Axia Nature Reserve has been worked out.
