Because of it's excellent performance and low cost, Anionic polyacrylamide(APAM) are widely used in the domain of water treatment,however,China's technology of APAM are not mature,the intention of this thesis is synthesize a kind of APAM with high intrinsic viscosity and no pollution.Dispersion copolymerization of acrylamide(AM)and acrylic acid (AA)has been carried out in aqueous solution of ammonium sulfate(AS), using polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP) as stabilizer. Anionic polyacrylamide(APAM) was prepared. The effects of the concentration of ammonium sulfate, the ratio of acrylamide to acrylic acid, the pH value of the system, the concentration of PVP on the intrinsic viscosity, the apparent viscosity and the stability of the product were studied.The optimum condition is w(AS)=0.26, w(PVP)=0.04, m(AM)/m (AA)=4, pH=6.5, w(KPS)=0.20%, w(SHS)=0.20%,T=30℃,t=5h. The structure and morphology of the product were investigated by using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and optical microscope. Results show that the polymeric microsphere is the APAM with smooth and spherical surface.The flocculation efficiency of APAM was inspected by flocculation experiment.it is found that APAM as the flocculant used along with inorganic fiocculant PAC, had good flocculation effect.
