Sodium salts of phosphate is a phosphate chemical product which is widely used products,and its technical development and market development are comparative maturity. There are mainly sodium orthophosphate,sodium pyrophosphate,polyphosphate sodium, sodium metaphosphate. The Sodium salts of phosphate is the the largest amount of functional phosphate in the market and is widely used in industrial production such as washing, water treatment, food, mineral concentration, metallurgy etc.In this paper,the physicochemical property, application and preparation of Sodium metaphosphate were summarized.Two-step production process of Sodium metaphosphate is comparative maturity,but the scale of production, efficiency and product quality are shortage of market competition at home and abroad.To solve these problems need technological innovation of metaphosphate production process,Author suggested that one-step production of sodium metaphosphate.A preliminary exploration on preparation of sodium metaphosphate with phosphorous pentoxide and sodium carbonate was made. The reaction process with phosphorus pentoxide and sodium carbonate was analyzed by thermogravimetric, and the material reaction conditions through specific exploration test were initially determined.The following conclusions were got through specific experiments:1. Through single factor experiments,the influencing factors of preparation of Sodium Hexametaphosphate were investigated such as the material ratio of Na2O/P2O5,heating-up temperature, residence time,the amount of modifying agent etc.On the basis,orthogonal experiments were carried ou, It was got the best process conditions that reduced the non-active phosphate of sodium hexametaphosphate.The optimal process conditions of preparation of sodium hexametaphosphate:The material ratio of Na2O/P2O5 is 1.06, the heating-up temperature is 900℃,the residence time is 50min,and the amount of modifying agent is 3%. The material balance analysis showed that the rate of conversion of P elements into active phosphate was 91%.2.Through single factor experiments, the influencing factors of preparation of sodium trimetaphosphate were investigated such as the material ratio of Na2O/P2O5,heating-up temperature,residence time,the amount of reaction initiator etc.On this basis,orthogonal experiments were carried out,It was got the best process conditions on preparation of sodium trimetaphosphate.The optimal process conditions of preparation of sodium trimetaphosphate: the material ratio of Na2O/P2O5 is 1,heating-up temperature is 500℃,residence time is 5h,the amount of reaction initiator is 2%.Finally,The products were analyzed by chemical lanalysis, XRD analysi,thermogravimetric analysis, infrared analysis and NMR analysis.The thermal properties of sodium hexametaphosphate were analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry analysis.
