Recently, people pay more attention to the product which have the quality of antibacterial. So, the demand for antibacterial stainless steel increase quickly. The antibacterial stainless steel is a kind of material which added in some metal element in stainless steel, and after heat-treatment, the element(usually Ag, Cu) show a special phase and the phase distributed evenly in the surface and body. The method of ion implanting have been used widely, for the antibacterial stainless steel, the ion implanting make the element distributed evenly, at the same time, the method can't change the structure of matrix which influence the property of stainless steel. However, if ion implanting can get antibacterial effect and phase, if the mechanism of antibacterial is different from element body addition. Therefore, in this paper, we discuss the influence and mechanism of the ion implanting stainless steel. In this paper, the saturated implanting dose of Cu were discussed, and through the calculation of it, the different implanting dose were done on the surface of stainless steel, the exeperiment result show:the saturated implanting dose is 5.81×1017 (ion/cm2), and the SEM,GXRD give the precipitation isε-Cu and the size, distribution of it is a important factor for antibacterial, the heat-treatment process is 500℃for 4 h in the atmosphere H2Cu ions were implanted to A304 stainless steel by MEWA ion source. Through heat treatment, the sample were detected by XPS and antibacterial test. The experimental result show:the sample has a high antibacterial rate:97.6% for Escherichia Coli and 99.1% for Staphylococcus aureu The different value state Cu ion and O. occurred in surface layer through heat-treatment. The antibacterial mechanism is that Cu dispersed in precipitation phases absorb Oxygen in bacterial. The implantation process were simulated through molecular dynamic soft. The model were conduct by Lennard-Jones and Morse potential function. The simulation result show that: during implant process, the Cu ions were implanted to stainless steel by means of replacement and interval position, the iron in surface have lattice damaged therefore in a amorphous condition, In the diffuse model have the precipitation phase of Cu.
