E-pH diagram has been widely applied in researching reaction equilibrium of aqueous. And it is an important tool to research thermodynamics. It is also an important part of thermodynamic database.This paper takes constructing Rare Earth compounds properties database as target. The main research contents are as follows:concrete contents and storage methods of basic dates concerning thermodynamic calculation, as well as program realization about calculation model of thermodynamics calculation; Determine the basic dates of REDB, including heat capacities, molar enthalpies of formation, standard entropies, the range of relative calculation temperature, and so on; Determine international units, expression of results, writing forms of formulas; Build model and algorithm about E-pH diagram, and propose structural designing of E-pH diagram calculation module; Research J2EE and MVC design patterns, and build system structure model, function model, and software structure model of E-pH diagram calculation module matching with REDB.In this paper, ingredients elimination approach is used to judge predominance area. And module design method is used in this computing system. We use J2EE of Java in programming, and structured programming method in programs. At same time, we use MVC as our system architecture. And finally, the design scheme about E-pH diagram calculation module of REDB has been established.
