The dyeing properties of m-aramid/viscose in supercritical carbon dioxide were studied in this paper. The dyeing effect of m-aramid/viscose was studied which was pretreated by low temperature plasma(LTP) and polyethylene glycol 400. In addition, the effect of variables, such as temperature, pressure, dyeing time etc, to the uptake(measured as K/S) of m-aramid/viscose was studied. The comparison of dyeing properties of m-aramid/viscose which was pretreated and non-pretreated was investigated, the results showed that the m-aramid/viscose get better K/S values which was pretreaded by low temperature plasma(LTP) and polyethylene glycol 400. It was found that the K/S value increased significantly from 4.225 to 4.791 after pretreated by LTP.The dyeing fabric K/S value is 15.355 pretreated by polyethylene glycol 400. The dyeing fabric which were pretreated by LTP and and polyethylene glycol 400 can get the best K/S value. The results showed that the best dyeing conditions of disperse blue 79 :pressure for 25Mpa, temperature for 110℃and time for 40min.The m-aramid/viscose fabric get good washing fastness and rubbing fastness after dyed in supercritical carbon dioxide, the dry rubbing fastness is 4 grade snd the wet rubbing fastness is 3~4 grade.The dyeing properties of m-aramid were also studied after pretreated by LTP in this paper.The fabric can get good dyeing effect at temperature 120℃,pressure 27Mpa and 40min.The K/S value is 6.594, the dry rubbing fastness is 4 grade snd the wet rubbing fastness is 3~4 grade. The solarization fastness is 3~4 grade.The breaking force of the m-aramid/viscose and m-aramid fabric were not decreased after dyeing in supercritical carbon dioxide. The supercritical carbon dioxide dyeing will not destory flame-retardant of the fabrics .
