Due to the rapid development of industrial production, the environmental pollution problem caused by copper(Ⅱ) is becoming more and more seriously, especially the emission of wastewater containing copper(Ⅱ)in metallurgy working, mining and electroplanting, etc. It has become one of the important contaminations. At present, there are many methods to dispose the wastewater which contains copper(Ⅱ). But the existing methods always have many problems, such as big investment, high operating costs and the yield large amount of mud may bring secondary pollution to the environment. Bio-absorption, as a new creative technology to dispose wastewater with heavy metal, has incomparable advantages, such as environment-friendly, efficient and cost-effect. This thesis used the residual activated sludge from the city sewage treatment plant as biological adsorption to deal with the wastewater containing copper(Ⅱ).This thesis used the residual activated sludge from the city sewage treatment plant as biological adsorption, and used the technology of sodium alginate embedded to embed it. And then, the enrichment effect of domesticated activated sludge treatment plan on metal ions of Cu2+ is investigated. Study activated sludge and inactivated sludge's factors, adsorption properties and adsorption mechanism. The results show that:1,the ability of bio-sorbent removal copper(Ⅱ) was raised when the fungus was adapted domesticate;2,the ability of bio-sorbent removal copper(Ⅱ) was the best when the quantity of sewage sludge is 15g, the concentration of sodium alginate is 2%, the concentration of CaCl2 and embed time of 4h;3,the ability of bio-sorbent removal copper(Ⅱ) was raised when the activated sludge was dip in 2% NaOH, and the inactivated sludge was dip in 3% NaOH;4,Through the single factor experiments and the orthogonal test, at the condition of sludge's weight is 7g, wastewater pH is 4 and adsorption temperature is 25℃, the removal rate of activated sludge is the best. Besides, at the condition of sludge's weight is 8g, wastewater pH is 4 and adsorption temperature is 30℃, the removal rate of inactivated sludge is the best;5,selection of 0.05mol/L of HCl as desorption agent, and desorption time is 1h, the desorption rate of activated sludge is 97.54 percent; And selection of 0.5mol/L of HCl as desorption agent, and desorption time of 1h, the desorption rate of inactivated sludge is 97.54 percent; 6,Compared with traditional activated carbon, the removal rate of residual activated sludge is more than the removal rate of activated carbon;7,during the experiment of actual wastewater, the removal rate of two types both higher than 97 percent, while the adsorption is 21.35mg/g and 21.51mg/g. Besides, the removal rate of inactivated sludge is more than activated sludge's; 8,The analysis of adsorption process showed that:the main adsorption role on removing copper(Ⅱ) of calcium alginate biological adsorbent is residual activated sludge. Under anaerobic conditions, the bio-adsorbent to copper(Ⅱ) adsorption kinetics can be described by Lagergren second order kinetic and Freundlich isotherms. So the process of using the residual activated sludge as biological adsorption to deal with the heavy metal waste water is a multi-layer process of physical adsorption. In this experiment operation condition, the inactivated sludge is a kind of ideal adsorpti-on materials, which has some advantages. For example, it has more simple process on immobilization, the ability for combination and affinity with heavy metals is much stronger than the activated sludge. It has wide scope of application as well. So the inactivated sludge has a better application foreground. This thesis use the residual activated sludge from the city sewage treatment plant as biological adsorption to deal with the wastewater containing copper(Ⅱ).This method can effectively remove the copper(Ⅱ), and it is a new resources reuse way of residual activated sludge as well.
