As the user for the requirement of the steel roughness precision and residual stress range enhances unceasingly, steel enterprises for the technical requirements of the straighter are rising fast. One of the most key technology is how to improve the straighter hydraulic pressing device control precision, this is the core part of the most advanced straighter introduced from abroad in recent years, also is the weak link of homemade straighter. Therefore, strengthening straighter hydraulic press device control effect, to improve the control precision of the homemade straighter has certain help significance.This paper based on our school wide hydraulic straightening machine experimental platform building, on the analysis of the working principle of the straighter, and the roll gap control system composition (including the hydraulic drive system and electrical control system) basis. Detailed analyze the mathematical model of the straighter hydraulic control system, and analyze the dynamic characteristic of the system through the analysis of time domain and frequency domain. Expounded the BP neural network application in PID control ---- the BP neural network combined with the traditional PID controller, constitutes PID controller based on BP neural network. Then use MATLAB/Simulink software to simulate straighter hydraulic press system in the traditional PID controller and neural network PID controller. Simulation results show that neural network PID control algorithm is better than the traditional PID control algorithm can better solve the controlled object in which exists degeneration and many disturbance factors, effectively improve the stability of the control system and obtain good control effect.This paper adopts analytical method, the computer simulation and experimental methods to study the straighter hydraulic control system under the premise of accuracy and stability, improved control strategy improves the system response time, and makes the system dynamic performance is better than classical control scheme. The result can provide reference value to straighter hydraulic control technology.
