Mine geological conditions in our country are complex, which is one major reason of gas accidents. the research on gas-geology is the basis of solving gas accidents problem. The gas-geologic map is prepared after geological structure and its control characters to gas, the law of mine gas geology and the law of gas emission are deeply studied. There are region control to mining areas, mining area control to mines and mine control to mine sections and working faces by the theroy of geology evolution and structure control. To prepare the gas-geologic map is to assemble data of gas and geology and to generalize the law of gas geology, and the map can provide decision making of mine gas controlling and CBM(coalbed methane) resource evaluationThe thesis has studied geologic structure control to gas storage in Jincheng mining area. Synclinal compound sites control high gas storage, especially between the NNE direction and the NE direction. But tension-shear fractures in the NWW direction benefit to gas release. with greatly increasing gas drainage volume in working faces, traditional calculated methods have no longer adapted well to working faces, so it has been improved in the thesis. The new method pays much attention on processing the multi-groups quantity values as a whole avoiding the rounding errors during multiple calculation, by which actual gas emission rate of Chengzhuang mine was calculated. The mine gas-geologic law has been researched on integrated with gas emission data, geologic exploration and gas data measured, which shows that the thickness overlying bedrock control gas storage characteristics more than the depth of burial. The mathematic model between gas emission rate and thickness of overlying bedrock was derived,and gas emission rate and gas outburst risk were forecasted. On the basis of the above, the gas-geologic map of 3rd coal seam in Chengzhuang mine has been prepared.The new method of CBM resources evaluation has been put foraward. Lots of actual gas emission data and measurement of gas content were took full advantage of and CBM resource of 3rd coal seam in Chengzhuang mine was evaluated, which can favourably provide basic data for CBM exploration and exploitation. Data are abundant and credible and parameters making are visual and quick.
