Magnetic photocatalyst is an hot topic, because it can solve the recoveryproblem of the phtocatalyst in the slurry system. Much attentation is paied to how toimprove the photocatalytic property of magnetic photocatalyst.In this paper,CNTs/Fe 3 O 4 /TiO 2 nanocomposites were prepared by hydro-thermal method usingtitanium butoxide (TBOT). The structure, morphology and photocatalytic propertywere carried out by XRD, FT-IR, XPS, SEM, TEM, PPMS and photocatalyticplatform.It is found that the structure of TiO 2 of the CNTs/Fe 3 O 4 /TiO 2 nanocomposites isanatase, and the uniformity of the TiO 2 loaded on the CNTs/Fe 3 O 4 surface can becontrolled by tuning the TBOT content.The results show that photocatalytic property of the CNTs/Fe 3 O 4 /TiO 2nanocomposites is first increased and then decreased with the increase of the TBOTand photocatalyst. The photocatalytic property of the CNTs/Fe 3 O 4 /TiO 2nanocomposites is decreased with the increase of the PH value and methyl orangeconcentration. The parameter of the optimized photocatalytic property is as follows.The ratio of the TBOT and CNTs/Fe 3 O 4 content, the PH value and the photocatalystconcentration is 8, 6 and 200 mg/L, respectively. The reconvery ratio of thenanocomposites is up to 87.5% after photocatalytic reaction. The photodegradationratio is more that 95% after the second time in the 3h photocatalytic reaction.The kinetics study shows that the photocatalyst concentration and PH valuehave an effect influence on the kinetics of the photocatalytic reaction. When theconcentration of the nanocomposite is 60 mg/L, the the photocatalytic reaction ofmethyl orange is in accordace with the zero-order kinetics regularity. When theconcentration of the nanocomposite is 120, 240 and 480 mg/L, the photocatalyticreaction of methyl orange is in accordace with the first-order kinetics regularity, andthe contant of the photodegradation reaction is first increased and then decreasedwith the increase of the photocatalyst concentration. When the PH value is 4, 6 and 8,the photocatalytic reaction of methyl orange is in accordace with the first-orderkinetics regularity, and the ontant of the photodegradation reaction is decreased withthe increase of PH value.
