As raw materials for the rubber synthesis industry such as isoprene, cyclopentene,etc. The cracked C5 fraction of crude oil is a promising source of rubber production. Therefore, it is essential to research the separation of isoprene from C5 fraction. VLE data is important for C5 separation design and operation, however, the VLE data of C5 components are inadequate, especially in the case of pressurization. So, buliding an apparatus to measure VLE data of C5 is essential.A double circulating equipment was established, vapor is recycled by condensation while liquid phase is recycled by pump. Vapor flows from the top of still and back into the bottom after condensed, while liquid recycles from the bottom to the top of still, count-current accelarates equilibria. A buffer tank with a volume of 3L was used to control system pressure, whose working substance is nitrogen.Apparatus's leak-proofness is tested, reasonable speed of condensed vapor drop and flux of recycle liquid are decided,0.3-0.5drop/s and 22ml/min respectively. The experimental VLE data for acetone-ethanol at 101.325 KPaA are in good agreement with literature data by Hellwig, which proves the reliability of apparatus.Pressurized VLE for C5 binary systems have been investigated: isopentane+isoprene(255KPaA),isopentane+n-pentane(255KPaA),cyclopentane+isop entane(255KPaA),cyclopentene+isopentane(250KPaA),cyclopentene+cyclopentane(2 50KPaA),isoamylene+isopentane(250KPaA),isoprene+isoamylene(250KPaA),cyclop entane+isoprene(250 KPaA).All experiment data passed integral thermodynamic consistent test. VLE data were correlated by Wilson and NRTL equations. Results are quite satisfactory by comparison experimental vapor mole fraction and equilibrium temperature with calculated. As for Wilson model, the average relative deviations in vapor mole fraction are less than 1.7% whereas average deviations in temperature are less than 0.12K. As for NRTL model, the average relative deviations in vapor mole fraction are less than 1.7% whereas average deviations in temperature are less than 0.12K. Two models fit experimental data well.
