The stability of slope is the key problem in slope engineering, which is also one ofthe most urgent problems in slope problem. The iron ore of Yanshan is located inLuanxian, Hebei province. Luan River is on the east of it. There is a water irrigationsystem of manual excavation called Xin River near it, across the water channel flowinginto to the stope. Yan Shan iron ore mine is one typical of plenty water, not only thickalluvium, but rich-water also. There are multiple aquifer and hydraulic conductive faults.In order to ensure the security of mine production, it carries out indoor rock mechanicsexperiment and field experiment, uses numerical simulation software FLAC-2D toanalyze the slope stability and proposes the monitoring scheme on the basis ofunderstanding actual situation of the mine.It collects and surveys a large amount of data which related to Sijiaying iron ore andcarries out indoor rock mechanics experiment. It also uses3GSM measuring system tosurvey the field obtaining pictures and obtains the distribution of rock joints and fissuresusing relevant software, which establishes the foundation for determining the quaternaryrock structure. After summarizing and finishing of data, it uses FLAC-2D numericalsimulation software for simulating slope on the basis of it. Curtain grouting method wasadopted to improve the water conservancy early, but the effect was not very ideal. Nowwe use cut-off wall processing the slope.The models include the excavation of-67m level,-127m level,-157m level and-232m level of slope, which divides into two kinds ofconditions of water slope and the slope after processed by cut-off wall. Then it analyzesthe slope stability from many ways of the stress and strain, the distribution of plastic zone,displacement vector change, yield condition, the safety factor of slope and so on. Finallythe deformation monitoring scheme of the eastern slope of the mining area is proposedbased on the slope stability.By analyzing the results, it is known that the factor of water affects the stability ofthe slope largely, some slope happens to slip even with the phenomenon of instability.The stability of the slope improves after processing by the cut-off wall, which meets therequirement of the security and stability of the slope of the mine. Cooperating with fieldmonitoring, once found abnormal deformation of a certain part of the mine, it should takecorresponding measures.
