In modern machinery industry, Green manufacturing is an important embodiment ofhuman society to achieve sustainable development and circular economy, among whichdry cutting is the most important. This subject prepares and studies CBN coatings, whichprovides a theoretical basis to improve the wear resistance and heat resistance of the tool,achieving the goal of green cutting.This subject studies the tribological performance of CBN coatings on the testmachine in the theory of chemistry, friction material surface science, etc. It improves thecoating process, optimizes the ratio of coatings composited from CBN、WS2、MoS2andSb2O3. This study uses DEFORM software to perform cutting simulation of compositeCBN coatings through the instrument of electron microscope and energy spectrum, andverifies the result of the simulation through cutting test.The test results show that the improved coating technology can improve the qualityof coating surface. CBN coatings have a higher heat resistance and wear resistance, andthe coefficient of friction of fine particles of CBN is low. The performance of coatingsconsisting of CBN, WS2, MoS2, Sb2O3is better, and the wear-resisting coatings showoptimal performance when the mass ratio is CBN:WS2:MoS2:Sb2O3=3:2:2:1. Theanalysis showed that below500℃, surface of the specimen remains solid coatingmaterial, which indicates the coating is with good thermal stability. In the cutting test, thecoating which coated on the tool can reduce the cutting force and cutting temperature.The test results are in agreement with the data obtained with computer simulation. Theresults show that, the results of the computer simulation is reasonable.To sum up, CBN coatings show good antiwear and antifriction performance, whichcan reduce the tool wear and improve the life of cutting tool and cutting efficiency. It hasan important significance for the cutting performance improvement.
