There is a plenty storage of weak caking coal in our country. But seriousenvironmental pollutants and limited application scope are the problems in its process ofapplication. In order to make full use of the existing weak caking coal resourcesreasonably, reduce the damage to the environment, and broaden its application domain,the preparation process of Hyper-Coal was studied with Weak caking coal as rawmaterial. High quality Hyper Coal was obtained and applied toCoal Blending for Coking.The main influence factors of extraction temperature, solid-to-liquid ratio, extractiontime, type of solvents were determined with Brown Coal as the main study object. UsingOrthogonal Test, extraction temperature and type of solvents were determined to be themain factors for the preparation process of Hyper-Coal. The optimal technologicalcondition of the preparation process of Hyper-Coal was that using N-methyl pyrrolidoneas solvent and under the conditions of extraction temperature of360℃, solid-to-liquidratio of4g:200mL, extraction time of1h. The feasibility of the optimal technologicalcondition was verified with other weak caking coal (long flame coal, weakly caking coal,lean coal) as raw material. To make a more moderate preparation conditions and a betterpreparation, the raw material was pretreated by the methods of acid treated,hydrothermal pretreatment,alkali treatment,ultrasonic treatment and soaking treatmentrespectively. For the lower rank coals, the extraction efficiency increased more than10%with the pretreated methods of low temperature hydrothermal pretreatment and acidtreated. For the higher rank coals, the extraction efficiency increased5%~10%and theash of concentrated Hyper-Coal decreased0.5%~1%with the pretreated methods of hightemperature hydrothermal pretreatment, ultrasonic treatment, soaking treatment.The crucible coke was prepared with Lvjiatuo Coking Coal and Lu’an Lean Coal, toexplore the feasibility of Hyper-Coal in Coal Blending for Coking. The optimal CoalMixing Ratio (9:1) was determined. Crucible Coke was prepared with5%and10%Hyper-Coal of (instead of coking coal) and lean coal under the optimal proportion. It wasfound that the plasticity range of paste was increased to94℃~151℃, the liquidity wasenhanced, and the property of coke was improved. Preparation of Hyper-Coal based onthe weak coking coal enlarged the application scope of weak caking coal, alleviated thepressure of coking coal resources, and also brought a more environmental new materialfor coal field.
