In recent years, the indoor air quality (IAQ) problem is prominent in China, has aroused widespread concern in society. Accurate grasping release characteristics of indoor pollutants and environmental factors of effects can provide the basis for the removal and purification of indoor pollutants. This paper introduces the present situation of indoor air pollution in hygrothermal area, summarizes the unique features that affects the indoor air pollution, analyses the domestic and foreign status on VOCs emission mechanisms in hygrothermal environment and the main sources of indoor VOCs pollution, pointed out the inadequate research of indoor decoration furniture with VOCs emission models and environmental influence factors under the hygrothermal conditions. Introduces the relevant research on three aspects, and puts forward the relative research direction.The main research contents are as follows:Firstly, the VOCs emission model in homogeneous building materials was presented, the innovation point of this model is considering mass transfer in the materials and in air, the diffusion coefficient in the interface of building materials and air and considering the change of VOCs concentration in indoor air. The influence of the initial concentration of VOCs in material, ventilation frequency, air velocity and air temperature on emission rate was studied. Theoretical model of TVOC release from artificial board was seted up, the rule of TVOC release was explored, three kinds of typical artificial plate specimens of TVOC emission concentration were tested using small environmental chamber and TVOC detection instrument, the model was fitted and validated by the measured data.Secondly, the effect of ambient temperature and relative humidity on three typical artificial plate TVOC emission were studied by single factor experiment; Chamber experiments were applied to investigate the effect of temperature and humidity on typical VOCs(formaldehyde)emission from four kinds of furniture. The emission rate(E) was defind, the natural logarithm of the release rate and the temperature change of the temperature were analyzed by regression analysis.Thirdly, prevention approachs and specific control measures of indoor air pollution were summarized, indoor VOCs governance principles and related control technology are introduced, the effective ways to prevent and control indoor air pollution problem were discussed. From purification methods, the main techniques for indoor air purification and its advantages and disadvantages were systematically summarized, and pointed out that the single purifying art defect and shortage, put forward the combination principle and "synergy" mechanism purification technology of air purification technology, so the purification effect, performance are greatly enhanced; to develop the more efficient, energy saving, utility of the air purification products according to the purification technology of synergy mechanism is one of the important research direction in the future.
